Sevylor 2-Person Colorado Canoe Review
Sevylor has been making inflatable crafts since 1948, and their inflatable kayaks and canoes have become quite popular with novice and experienced boaters alike.
The Sevylor Colorado 2-person canoe is really a cross between a kayak and a canoe. It is sturdy for sure, and it does maneuver on the water like a kayak, but it also has the style and the comfort of a traditional North American canoe. Even though it is filled with air, you will love the fact that this canoe can carry up to 440 pounds of cargo. Tracking is very good, depending on the weight of the passengers. Its not a speed demon, but what inflatable craft is?
Designed for two people, this green or blue colored (you choose the color) canoe measures in at about 10 feet, 6 inches in length. Transporting the canoe is easy because of its lightweight - only 32 pounds. Compare that with a hard-shell canoe!
The inside of the craft is comfortable and there is plenty of room for two people to sit without feeling cramped. This Sevylor model canoe can handle lakes, rivers, and is even suited for ocean fishing and diving. The bow and stern are raised up, so it really does feel like you are at the helm of a real North American canoe. One thing that will appeal to the fisherman in you is the fact that the canoe allows for a 12-volt trolling motor to be attached to the back of the craft.
The canoe inflates easily and you can be on the water in less than 10 minutes. This Sevylor model is not as inexpensive as the Tahiti, but after all, it is a better product overall. For those whose budget is under $500, the Colorado inflatable canoe is an excellent value for the money.
